Mars SPVML Project

SPVML stands for South Pole to Valles Marineris Lifeway. This project explores the feasibility and profitability of building the first, major hydropower project on Mars. It starts with the assumption that it is not possible to build the project using traditional Earthly means, i.e. lots of public sector money and thousands of human workers. The new Martian way could be to form a 4P organization (Profitable, Private, Public Partnership) that builds the project with hundreds of iBot teams working in parallel along the route using materials manufactured on Earth’s moon.

Argyre Planitia is being considered as a starting point for Martian colonization and it could become an important midpoint.
